In The Office: 6:48 pm, Tanya and I gibbering on.
But you know how girls first dish about their hair, then their hairspray, and all of a sudden, it's a CVS vs. Sephora, but then switch to body products-Aunt Sally is mentioned, and there's 30 minutes of work-time spent (but not wasted) on analyzing the beauty market instead of...what we're really supposed to be analyzing. Anyway, at some point, the conversation had to wind it's zigzag right to FALL and everything about FALL - so magically.
And that certainly got me a mood in the mood for Fall Fashion Blogging!
So this month's essentials for me will be for these sort of outfits that are not sure if they're really meant to keep you warm and cozy or fresh and free - that weird time between summer and autumn. But pull them off Swiftly and you'll look like you've got it just right!

- Y'all need at least one black and white object in your closet during this time - and I know it's not your typical mustard-yellow, burgundy, and denim option, but it'll do you good, trust me here. + it can be a little houndstooth jacket you'll throw onto an untucked, wide white croptop, but your black high-waisted leather skater skirt won't flaunt you're belly fat at all! So, do invest in some of Forever 21's affordable handy essentials.
- Another thing (monochromatic) that'll save your but in school/work might be a black on white/white on black cheetah print clutch with a white-gold accent somewhere. Chains are perfect. Or even a comfy chunky heel - maybe with a white-gold zipper...if you can get your hands on/DIY a pair that have charms in white-gold dangling from these cute ankle-chains, even fabulouser! (gotta LOVE my English talents.)
- Yet again, why not make the trip to that one fancy plaza and surf around for the perfect stretchy trousers with that minuscule black-and-white-overall-gray-illusion check print? What else would glam up a light-knit sweater in say, that burgundy shade you're so eager to wear?
- Speaking of sweaters (just as I mentioned, girls have the smoothest transitions, right?) Wildfox will be my object of worship this season! Or why not year-round, since we're all guilty of pajamazing them too, I'm sure. But honestly, you should just pick up any sweater you like, no matter what print, color, whatever. What matters: distressed boyfriend jeans, a faded blush plaid shirt tied at your waist, and some black leather/velvet booties on a nice chunky heel. Do accent yourself with, maybe some rose-gold stacked arm candy (if they'd truly go with up color palette), a feather necklace...get creative.
- What I'm definitely scared about doing is layering - this can totally go all wrong. But I think if you use something that can also come as "scary" sometimes, like a sheer blouse, you can really look put-together. How? Well, get your blouse, I really like a feminine, statement one like this:
pair that with a good opaque white bustier brallete, and the darkness of the blouse will conceal any belly-shame. Then you can just throw on a girly nude sweater jacket unbuttoned but so suave. Especially with an elegant white pencil skirt if you're heading out somewhere with Him, bae, but if not, a neat tidy pair of skinny jeans in the autumn shade you desire would be perf! Just don't forget the accessoires ;o)
And I believe in Gold. Stay gold, fashionistas. xoxo
