I do follow up with my beauty religiously. however, it does need more organization and concentration than you think, and mostly because most of it, for me, is multitasking. For example, if you're balancing a mask on your hair and a mask on your face and have your feet in some warm water and milk (next post: everything foot care), you've gotta have multiple alarms set up for each thing. And, okay, I'm not exactly balancing them around, but still....Leaving something on your skin/hair for more time than it's supposed to get can be disastrous. So see?
Well anyway, it even gets more complicated. So much so that I have not only to master time management, but also design myself a big intricate mental calender, which you can totally jot down too.
Like this week I have to focus more on split ends rather than get carried away with the lesser important: getting shiny hair. You have to think critically, do I need some help with my hair's health and well-being right now, or can I just start mixing up oils and egg yolk to get that polished finish? Well, you can't get a very polished finish unless your hair is 100% healthy and clean (I'm not saying strip your scalp and cuticles of your natural oils, but just avoid buildup and dandruff). And don't worry, during the week you start using Head and Shoulders, or what I was prescribed by my amazing dermatologist:

So I was saying, during the week you take more care of health, not glamorousness, even though you wanna give your head a break form heat, you can still pretend that everything is fine and you'll stay on point (even better than before, since you're not creating more damage). How? You get your hair to multitask, but still not all the way. Remember: we wanna focus more on important things.
If you're struggling with damaged hair, and had dryness in the past, use a daily anti-breakage shampoo, like this one I bought for no reason but ended up loving:

along with a moisturizing conditioner, like my lovely Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner, $7.99, which "Rich Brazilian cocoa nut oils combined with hydrolyzed keratin protein to instantly smooth and fortify your locks for a glossy, healthy-looking glow. Sulfate-free formula gently cleanses and hydrates for silky smooth hair. An exclusive blend of antioxidant rich organic coconut oil along with rich keratin proteins infuse to strengthen the hair, while organic avocado oils and cocoa butter smooth the cuticle for straight, strong tresses adding a brilliant glow and luminescent shine." + a nice perfume scent. In the best price ever. Thank me later. And don't forget to leave it in for 3 minutes before you rinse. So now, not only will you have more protected, shiny hair, but it will also be so smooth and graceful (in the bounce), and naturally straighter, but it can't really protect you from girly waves if you braid lots like me. That shower combo should help keep your hair clean, shiny, and boost repair. However, if you have damaged hair, and it's on the more oily side, avoid anything that says oil, obviously. You wanna use more teas, things that have fruits. Anything that "hydrates" and moisturizes is not your best friend.
For dandruff issues, just buy the Head and Shoulders Classic Clean shampoo, which is actually designed to help out with overly oily hair, not the Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo with Almond Oil, which, again obviously, treats oily hair dandruff. The multitasking for YOU begins with a tea mask every week to add volume, thickness, and a healthy glow. The conditioner you can use, that won't double up your troubles with grease, is a Cleansing Conditioner, which I learned about in a recent Vogue article, Breaking Up with Shampoo. They recommend using this every time you shower, 3 times a week I believe they're hinting (which is already how often I shower), and also using shampoo only once a week or even less. This might not work for all hair types. And I know this because I've deal with all changing conditions my head has been through all these years, from Japanese Sleek Drop to my Australian Waves to a point where I sort of suffered form African Thickness, while my hair was oily, and now it's just soft and wavy and sort of thick but a bit dry at the scalp. Maybe it's because my family moved so much and vacationed overseas nearly every summer. Climate affects everything.

Ulta:
"This one-step wonder product is an ultra-gentle, yet powerful combination of 1/4 cleanser + 3/4 moisture. It's low-lather cleansing that reduces friction of the hair fiber to help minimize breakage. This innovative, ultra concentrated triple action conditioning formula, with Omega-3 and 6, leaves hair super soft and nourished without weigh-down. You're one step away from luxuriously soft, manageable hair. Perfect for all dry hair types."
You guys can do what you like with those amazing three....Now if you are struggling with dryness and limp, lifeless strands, and split ends you need some olive oil and, if you can get your hands on one, the bottle of magic: Dabur Amla Gold Hair Oil, which y'all know I swear by. This'll leave your hair softer, longer, stronger, thicker (basically you get to be shampoo commercial girl for now) and it contains the Amla fruit (Indian gooseberry), mineral and vegetable oils, and Canola oil. Fancy stuff.
But for the more important part, you can try these, from TRESemme's Split Mend Collection of products :

See for yourself:
The Most Unexpected Cure for Split Ends? Fire. Seriously .
So who's ready for velaterapia?!?! I will definitely ask about it next time I visit a professional salon.
Well, I think I've clarified what to use for what types...The rest of you with different hair conditions can assume your remedy by mixing the ones I talked about up. LOL, that sounds so rude, but seriously guys, I've worked way too hard on this and it's 1 p.m. I was planning on finishing the foot care post as well, but not really. Lack of sleep is so frickin' bad for my complexion. Bye.
And if we raise the currently 80-visits-a-day, there might be a giveaway!! Stay tuned! Love, a sleepy Aristocrat.
