MENSWEAR-INSPIRED THINGS; OH. MY. VOGUE! ! ! ! While gathering up this too-long list above from high-end (some affordable) brands, there was a point where I actually had to control myself, believe it or not, and just because....you take a moment to absorb the breath-taking beauty and elegance of these Oxfords, loafers, brogues, and the rest of whatever's up there, then tell me I'm wrong to have such emotions. But I feel like this is the best trend the fashion community has accomplished and practiced and brought back for women's footwear, specifically.
And let me tell you that Yves Saint Laurent definitely knew what he was doing with this - way back in 1966, and certain Fashion People state, deliciously, that it "broke all the rules" :

Parisians will often clunck up to fashion week in shoes like these, or a loose blazer in that not-so-girly-silhouette, but somehow, they always end up with that "lady" vibe. It's amazing. However, putting on some menswear-inspired elements does not necessarily make your whole outfit guy-ish. Making things like that girly needs more than a pink chiffon layered circle skirt. You'll walk with Karlie Kloss's discipline, Evelina Barry's hip girly edge, and like, your own dancy strut. Don't go too fancy, swayin' hips and nose in the air. Just do it like a walk down the city streets, where you know people are being photographed for LookBook.nu's street style. Keep your confidence but with ease, just like I Don't Care I Love IT.
These shoes are not exactly made to be The Statement Of Your Outfit, but they sure are, in a sense. It's not like, "These are too much on their own, so I have to be more plain on my top and bottom today."
It's more, "Wow, I need to step up my style and figure out some matching accents to put the attention on overall ME," not part; not just my legs. All of me...okay I cant resist saying: "Loves aaaaallllll of you," so there. Sorry. John Legend, you are responsible for my off-topic-ness. Anywayzyz, if you watch these YouTube videos where girls put together a look that helps making your legs look longer, you'll know what I mean. For e.g., wearing a nude heel, dolphin-tailed pants/shorts, and a tucked in shirt offers your figure the "taller," polished finish. Wearing a flat shoe with skinny jeans/leggings gives you a chubby stuffed aura (with a foot chopped off your height). These detaily little details have been Scientifically Proven (fashionlishly). So yeah, you do sort of need to out-smarten yourself this time.
Break-down (of Things To Wear With Masculine Feminine Shoes) :
Skirts (knee-length/ a bit shorter than that)=YES.
Maxi skirts=not always gonna work (will never work for me).
Boyfriend jeans=shockingly more than able to girlify outfit.
Pencil skirt=only works for People That Wear Prada.
Trousers=100% Because we're indicating careless-brush-it-off-ma-shoulder classiness, which you can't do by adding a "nice an' relaxed sheer blouse". Like, no, being nice and relaxed doesn't make you less professional. Do it #likeagirl with a (NO, not a "cute little cropped pink blazer"-no no no) a T-shirt. You heard me. You read my words. A loosely comfy chicly impressive T-shirt.
Moving on.
A shirt-dress=you can pull that off :)
Shorts=above in that picture are the stated rules of that process - even though, as I put it earlier, menswear transformed into feminine attire is a break of rules.
Whatever else you guys think up=get creative, 'cause I'm getting tired....need some sleep.
Byeeeeeee!!!! Sleep well so you don't ever need to blog like moi *_*
