This. Is. The. Shoe. Of This Time (technically can't say, Of All Time, because I know for certain that one day, my lovely kids will be like, "Mom, what is this in your closet - lol, don't tell me you actually wore that!") So yeah. And in how many delightful ways are we permitted to style this shoe? As much as our imagination permits us, of course, which can be an infinite time by the time this particular garment will be cast as part of the "Don't tell me you actually wore that" collection. But some infinities are larger than other infinities.
Anyway, this shoe expresses my love for gold accents, floralness over a BLACK, and other things, such as a painful high stiletto, but still safe with that swanky ankle grip at the ankle. What a shoe, huh?
The first image that popped into my head when I was saw this on NastyGal.com, was Candice Swanepoel strutting the streets with some distressed boyfriend jeans, This Shoe, a black calfskin Céline Boxy Handbag, and like, a white croptop if you must. That's certainly The Way We Like To Do It.
"But skater skirts," I whined. And to be honest, what can you NOT put with a skater skirt, a black leather one, without looking so poshly electrifying, in a non-overly-intense way? Exactly. Exactly nothing to be exact. And try that with our handy lil Forever 21's or even a non-leather, non-black cute H and M skirt, in contrasting floral shades. A sheer white blouse, untucked, or tucked in from the front, but swaying 'round your back, and a cropped faux leather jacket in that pastel minty shade no one can live without; not even the sky can resist morphing into it - and girl, you are on the runway to hell, all that badass fashion!
However, all good tings must come in set with a catch - accessorizing is my point. So they've done a bit for you. And I think for a good look, you either add more gold (stacked rings, a tea-colored but gold-framed over-the-knuckle gem) or just a simple classic watch. In other words, you're either shopping with your girlfriends or on a classy date, really.
I can also imagine myself in these heelsies with a creme chiffon maxi skirt, a black leather quilted-arms jacket (which has a non-quilted-leather vest. Maybe plain cotton), and a covet-worthy nudeish blush handbag, hair down, accessorized in gold.
You can make this wonderful pair of beauties the canvas to your outfit, or final touch to your work of art! Just keep in mind that passion and creativity are key ;-)
