And although I don't recommend it for "normal" people (which means, I recommend it for everyone, technically, because What Is Normal?) It's pretty great.
I get to think about what to bake, what to try mixing up for my hair, while I drive to a The Salon (talked about later down the scroll) for my trim (the only occasion when I actually go to the salon - I do my own nails, makeup, and everything - it's an ego issue). So then, at home sweet place-with-fast-wifi (what's anywhere worth with no Internet??), I watch some beauty on YouTube while I get some Calculus off my non-important-things-to-do-list. Sit with a mask on my hair. My feet wrapped warmly and comfortably in a thin coat of VASELINE® JELLY COCOA BUTTER and thick fluffy sockies.

Usually if I've been online for hours, Pinning, blogging, reading, and doing my "chores" -addictions, more like - my under eyes WILL puff and make me look like a sick tired person...Oh well, I just stick these sheets of magic on and:
"A cooling transdermal gel patch infuses the eye area with icelandic glacial waters and concentrated doses of firming ingredients to de-puff, tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles." said Ulta, very accurately.

Always having something on me (to beautify, replenish, moisturize - anything along the lines) is becoming a habit that developed over my years of my obsession with perfectness. Phew. Don't even tell me in the comments that "no one is perfect", because, I believe, if I want to be Perfectly, A Perfection, that's something for me to consider and stress about, not you.
And something I do recommend for all you cutesies out there, is to use eos products -specifically, your classic lil sphere balm - everywhere. Cuticles, elbows, eyebrows (instead of a clear brow gel!), knees, some dry spots on your face (but careful-don't clog your pores!) feet, that little dry pit between you index finger and thumb, what is that even called? Don't forget your lips!!
My favorite ones from CVS Pharmacy are the Pomegranate Raspberry and Sweet Mint.

My before and after shower routine varies a lot. I sometimes boil a certain tea right after I come out of my rinse, so that by the time my hair is "slightly damp" the tea will be ready to apply. Chamomile is good for you dolls who want to naturally bleach your hair without any long-term damage. Just soak your ends in and spray some through your mid-shaft (daily, for a month) to get that sombré effect (DIY an old hairspray bottle into an at-home-treatment sprayer thingy!) It also adds this healthy Goddess glow. But if you're seeking that dark shiny Japanese texture, use black tea, which is easy to remember - black darkens my hair. (Tea can't really straighten your hair, but it can give it shade and smoothness). I find it also gives your hair that touch of cleanliness and you really feel F R E S H, if you dig. Also the scent! Who else loves a tea-perfume? Have they invented those? Chat down below!
Anyway, oils. So I hate a thick, greasy oil. I like a quick-absorbing, easy-to-wash-off, lightweight, fancy oil, like the Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil, $48.00 from Sephora.
100% Pure Argan Oil is first cold pressed to ensure the best quality, highest-grade oil. It is housed in a recyclable glass bottle and purchased from women's cooperatives in Morocco to support their social and economic welfare. These cooperatives work within a UNESCO biosphere reserve that ensures the protection and reforestation of Argan trees. $48.00 from Sephora | This 100% Pure Argan Oil is a legendary oil that's rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. With its multitasking benefits, Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It's gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne. Argan Oil easily absorbs into skin to give you a youthful, dewy glow, and has astonishing healing, conditioning, and antiaging properties to keep your skin and hair nourished and revitalized and to keep you looking beautiful from head to toe. |
You just leave this in for the night, shower in the morning, and feel spa-ish. Plus, you can basically rub this on anywhere on your body for a dewy-smooth finish - not just your hair.
You already know I am a huge fan of my Dabur Amla Hair Oil, which can be thick and very oily for that one hour you need to keep it on, but I think it's all worth it. Plus, the smell is great, and it comes off with the first coating of shampoo, which I explain in this post: Hair-Care Routine + Tilting That Into a Fall-Based Structure... .
Other than that you can do what you like with essential oils....I know you can mix egg yolk with olive oil for full blast treatment, healing, and all that amazing stuff.
Just worry about either putting it on before you wash your hair/after - if before, then right before or 2 hours or more...After your shower right away, or like after a whole 24-hour wait? I believe that's really what'll make all the difference.
- Honestly, I feel like these basic things shouldn't be "beauty tips". It's more like, if you're all set with your glitzy materials, just do things to spoil yourself and your looks all the time. I basically follow with these little things not only to keep my hair and skin healthy, but also my esteem and inner beautyness, if you know what I mean -
Anyway, I deep-condition once every two weeks, which is what my long thick hair needs, with a natural mix of fruits and oils, sometimes egg yolk. Check out this link to DIY a good deep-condition at home instead of making your trip to a salon. 4 Ways To Deep condition Your Hair, or here: Beauty Secrets: Deep Conditioning Your Hair.
However, if you do end up leaving home to take care of your hair, go to a school; they have better authenticity since the students are under supervision and they do have great skills, its not really a risk to leave your hair in the hands of a "student". Give it a try! I go to this one (just for trims, but I still find it a Royal experience) --> Princess Beauty School.
You will definitely finds ways to pamper yourself no matter what/where you are. For some people it means watching Netflix all day in soft blankets with your one true love, Pizza, but for me it's definitely being obsessive over materialistic things and my looks. Not just that. If I don't feel luxurious and princessy, there's something wrong. So find stuff that make you happy, and that's really what'll keep you happy! I just gave y'all examples of how to be all-knowing and aware about your image, which sounds sooooo wrong and selfish and oblivious to everyone else around the world who has to suffer from starvation, abuse, and all kinds of other things, but it's what keeps me happy. Of course I give back (with magazines and cosmetic companies, but still), however, It's so fun to feel like a walking Barbie.
And I have been unfairly accused of seeking guys' attention from more people that I care to even count (including some former teachers). But all of this is for me. I dress fashionably to impress myself and my friends and my mom. If I wanna be in sexy red lipstick, that's intended towards my selfie camera, not necessarily always a guy.
<3 bye ^_^
